In medical technology, pharmacy and forensics, it is the movement of microscope stages, in the semiconductor industry it is precise positioning during wafer testing: precise positioning for razor-sharp images – that is what ITK Precisioning GmbH stands for. The Dorlar-based company, founded in 1982 by Dr. Folkert Kassen as ITK Dr. Kassen GmbH, moved into its new premises on October 1, 2024 and changed its company name to ITK Precisioning GmbH.
The company has thus set a new course for the future. Due to the positive development in recent years and a significant increase in the workforce, the company had reached the limits of space at its old location at Beim Eberacker 3. The new three-storey building at the new address Am Römerlager 5 in Dorlar with a total area of 3,642 m2 now offers sufficient space for all departments.
“With the move and the extensive investments, we are responding to the positive business development of recent years and the resulting increasing demands on the technical and spatial equipment of all departments of the company,” explains Managing Director Dr. Ingolf Schäfer. “Thanks to the careful advance planning by the project team, the move went smoothly and production and delivery capability were almost unrestricted.”
With a current workforce of almost 60 employees, ITK has set itself ambitious goals for the future. With over 40 years of experience in positioning and controlling, a high level of vertical integration and the ability to provide customers with tailor-made solutions, the company is successfully securing its market position. “It is important for us to be perceived as a secure and attractive employer and provider of ideas in the local region. Only then can we continue to grow and expand our target markets despite the currently rather weak overall economic situation in Germany,” says Schäfer.
