After the summer holidays, it’s that time again: many young people start a new phase in their lives when they begin their training and thus set the course for their future. This is also the case for Ben Bruckner, who starts his apprenticeship as a mechatronics engineer at ITK on 1 September. But this is not only a premiere for Ben.
Since 1 September 2022, ITK has also been a training company for the first time. We are very pleased to be able to train Ben Bruckner, our first apprentice as a mechatronics engineer.
Why we are becoming a training company right now
“In order to keep up with our continuous growth in view of the prevailing shortage of skilled workers in the industrial-technical sector, the focus has naturally been on the topic of training for a long time, in addition to cooperating with universities. Proximity to regional schools and institutions is also important to us,” says Claudia Dern, Commercial Manager and Human Resources Officer at ITK. To make the start of training easier and to take away the excitement of our newcomers, they first get a taste of the different departments. The colleagues in the individual departments are happy to answer questions and Ben gets to know the company better. At the preliminary interview in the presence of a parent, there was an introduction and question session with the trainer with further information about the apprenticeship. “We want to give our apprentice and his parents a secure feeling that their son is in good hands with us and that they have made the right choice with us as a training company. For the parts of his training that we cannot cover, we have decided to cooperate with the private training provider ProZukunft Aus- und Weiterbildung e.K. in Wetzlar, which has excellently equipped workshops and instructors who come from the industry. We wish Ben a good start with us and look forward to welcoming him,” explains Claudia Dern.
