In particularly demanding industries such as the semiconductor and electronics industries, precision, speed and reliability of positioning systems are a basic requirement. Material analysis or wafer inspection using optical or ultrasonic microscopy require complex, highly dynamic motion sequences with many start-stop cycles. The measuring and testing machines used must be designed for 24/7 operation under cleanroom conditions. Repeatability and positioning accuracy are also important here. ITK develops and supplies customised solutions for movements with accuracies in the micromillimetre range and resolutions in the nanometre range for “positioning in perfection”.

All core elements of our positioning systems such as electronics, mechanics and software are developed in-house at ITK. This enables us to supply high-precision and efficient positioning systems at the highest technical level for industry and research, not just modularly from a construction kit, but customised.

Our positioning systems can be optionally expanded with various (high-speed) Z-axis modules. Of course, you can also get the matching measuring system from us. The assembly of the required Z-axes can be done by the customer, but of course we are also happy to supply you with a complete solution.

Life Sciences

Since the Corona pandemic, hardly any other industrial sector has been as dependent on speed and precision as the medical and pharmaceutical industries. Virologists, bioscientists and pharmaceutical researchers are working at full speed in the search for vaccines against the Corona virus. Under high time pressure, reliable data must be generated in order to draw the right conclusions. The microscope and laboratory technology used is also of particular importance in the fight against the pandemic. Mechatronic systems such as microscope stages from ITK for fast and precise positioning of samples or arrays support the medical and pharmaceutical industries in the development of vaccines. Fast positioning and thus higher throughput are enormously important here.

High-precision gantry and microscope stages form the foundation of all ITK positioning systems. They are very efficient in terms of ease of use and throughput, as the integrated measuring system no longer requires referencing. Simply switch on and get to the point. Ideal for fully automated laboratory operation.

For secure positioning and the most precise repetition. Equipped with a new type of linear motor, our extremely flat cross and linear tables are a good alternative to spindle or piezo drives. They are available with powerful controls and other additional devices – individually manufactured according to customer specifications.

COMPONENTS

Messsysteme

Magnetoresistive (MR) measurement technology is insensitive to contamination. Our MR measuring systems can deliver the typical values of an optical measuring system (1 Vpp/ 20 µm). Therefore, if required, our MR measuring system can be adapted to your existing application and exchanged for an optical measuring system

Material Sciences

To ensure that a material does not become a risk, various methods of material diagnostics are required. Optical, X-ray or ultrasonic methods are used to determine the material composition, the crystal structure and other parameters relevant to the material on samples, components or layers. In order to detect the smallest possible material defects, the highest demands are placed on the machine movements. A high spatial resolution is a prerequisite for many imaging processes in order to make possible defects clearly “visible”. ITK offers customised solutions for such positioning tasks.

If you are looking for an extremely flat rotary stage with very high requirements in terms of running tolerances and repeatability and with a central hollow shaft, you will find it here. The patented technology also ensures good heat dissipation. Can be used in vacuum, clean room and food applications.

Our highly compact servomotors with integrated absolute measuring system were designed for additional movements. With a high protection class as well as high torque over the entire speed range, these drives prove themselves in numerous applications in systems and devices for material diagnostics.

Metrology


In the field of production metrology, 2D and 3D motion platforms are used to perform dimensional, form and surface inspections on industrially manufactured components. Different sensors must be moved across the component surface in space with a high spatial resolution in order to reliably detect any deviations or defects. Increasingly, such systems are being moved closer to production, requiring safe, robust machine design to enable precise measurements 24/7. Magnetisation

Measuring scales such as pole rings or linear scales are an essential part of modern magnetic measuring systems. Our magnetising systems (linear and rotary) “write” suitable carrier material with a wide variety of pole patterns. The quality of the resulting magnetic scales depends on a wide variety of parameters. Many years of experience are needed to produce scales for linear and rotary applications in the highest quality. This is exactly what you will find with us. We manufacture our systems individually for each customer. On request, we can provide you with a turnkey solution according to your requirements.

Typical applications for flat and precise linear stages with absolute measuring system are micromanipulator axes. If three axes are mounted together, a 3D manipulator is created, as used, for example, in magnetizing systems or in laboratory technology, where precise positioning is important.
